Emageon lands Novation deal

Image management firm Emageon of Birmingham, AL, has been awarded of multiyear contract with healthcare contracting services company Novation.

Under terms of the agreement, Emageon supply its enterprise-wide HeartSuite Vericis cardiovascular image and information management software and hardware. In addition, the company will provide project management, IS/IT and systems interfacing, as well as other components.

The contract is for more than two years, beginning February 2008, with optional one-year extensions.

Irving, TX-based Novation is the contracting services company of VHA, University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), and Provista.
