Double Black to debut new products at SCAR

Monitor distributor Double Black Imaging said that it will be unveiling several new products at the 2006 Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting this week in Austin, TX.

The Westminster, CO-based Double Black will be highlighting DICOMetrix PACS Performance Monitoring software, a 45-inch color distant-view LCD, and a 3-megapixel (MP) high-bright color, self-calibrating LCD, which is an addition to its existing line of self-calibrating LCDs with remote administrative software.

DICOMetrix is a resource tool that enables PACS administrators, directors, and IT personnel to actively monitor and track system performance, and alert radiology and PACS support staff about system slowdowns and outages. The firm's 45-inch color LCD features a full 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, a 500 candelas per square meter (cd/m2) brightness, and a contrast ratio of 800:1, according to the vendor.

Double Black Imaging will also be showing a 3 MP high-bright color LCD with retractable front sensors for autocalibration.
