DR Systems takes part in Care Data Exchange

RIS/PACS vendor DR Systems has developed a radiology information interface for the Santa Barbara County Care Data Exchange (CDE) in California that is scheduled to go live by the end of March, according to the San Diego-based firm.

Launched in 1998, the CDE project is an effort to electronically share patient-specific information between multiple healthcare institutions in the region. DR Systems developed an interface that made radiology information from the three CDE members using the company's PACS available to all other participating facilities.

The radiology information shared with CDE participants includes radiology images, as well as associated reports and voice clips, from three facilities: Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Sansum Santa Barbara Medical Foundation Clinic, and Pueblo Radiology, according to DR Systems.
