PACS and RIS software developer Paxeramed has released version 3 of its iPaxera PACS viewer for use on Apple's iPad and iPhone.
The new version adds the ability to be connected to any PACS via DICOM query/retrieve functionality, as well as a faster interface with Paxeramed's PaxeraView workstation, according to the vendor. Paxeramed said it has also incorporated a reporting tool for writing reports and either saving them or sending by e-mail.
Version 3 also includes DICOM Cine reading capability, which allows for reading of cath lab and echocardiography multiframe cine images with playback controls and zooming, panning, rotating, and distance measurement, Paxeramed said. The company has also enhanced image navigation and corrected minor software bugs.
