Agfa, PACSHealth to install dose software at VA network

Agfa HealthCare said that PACSHealth's DoseMonitor radiation dose monitoring software has been implemented at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Rocky Mountain Network, also known as Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 19.

PACSHealth has included its Global Dose Registry with the DoseMonitor application, which enables users to compare radiation dose from a patient's exam with a global database, according to the vendor. Both DoseMonitor and Global Dose Registry have been integrated within Agfa's enterprise imaging platform at VISN 19. The network operates eight healthcare systems, two hospitals, and 123 additional care sites across a geographic span of 540,000 square miles in Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Oklahoma, as well as portions of Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, and North Dakota.

VISN 21 (VA Sierra Pacific Network) and VISN 23 (VA Midwest Health Care Network) have also signed contracts to deploy DoseMonitor, Agfa said.
