NEC debuts new wide-screen display

NEC Display Solutions of America has unveiled its new MultiSync LCD3090WQXi wide-screen display for a number of applications, including soft-copy clinical viewing in healthcare.

The Itasca, IL-based company's new display is a 30-inch 4-megapixel LCD designed for enhanced color performance and to compensate for differences in color/grayscale and luminance.

LCD3090WQXi includes a 12-bit internal look-up table and high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP), supported through the DVI-D connector for use with HDCP-equipped devices and encrypted content.

The display will be available for shipping in February.
