Stereotaxis growth in Q2 sales, net loss

Image-guided interventional surgery firm Stereotaxis of St. Louis posted record revenue for its second quarter (end-June 30).

Second-quarter 2007 revenue increased 105% to $7.8 million, compared to $3.8 million for the same period in 2006. Revenue from Niobe system sales grew 102% to $5.8 million, compared with $2.9 million in 2006 due to an increase in both the number of systems sold and the average selling price. The company's net loss for the quarter totaled $15 million, compared to $13.6 million in 2006.

For the first six months of 2007, revenue totaled $17 million, compared to $5.5 million for the same period in 2006. Net loss for the first six months of the year was $25.5 million versus $28.2 million in 2006.
