Hologic to unveil multimodality SecurView release

Women's imaging vendor Hologic will introduce its SecurView DX multimodality diagnostic breast imaging workstation software at next week's 2009 RSNA meeting in Chicago.

Version 7-0-0 of SecurView allows radiologists to review breast images from any modality in concert with mammography images, according to the Bedford, MA-based vendor. Hanging protocols can also be defined for different modalities.

In addition, SecurView also now includes a new visualization tool called Advanced Image Enhancement (AIE), which applies proprietary wavelet-based image processing within the magnifier window. The multimodality viewing workstation can also be expanded with the firm's MR-CADWorks computer-aided detection (CAD) application for breast MRI image review, Hologic said.
