Carestream to show new products at HIMSS show

Carestream Health unveiled plans to show several new products at the upcoming annual meeting of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) in April.

The Rochester, NY-based company will add an Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)-compliant data registry to its next-generation PACS platform, along with an IHE-compliant data repository. The repository is designed for storage and archiving of clinical documents originating from an IHE-compliant system, while the registry will create a single index of all data.

Carestream will debut a new patient Web portal and touchscreen patient check-in kiosk as part of its latest work-in-progress RIS. Patients can log in, register, and review their personal information using electronic patient signature technology.

The company also plans to demonstrate its new work-in-progress SuperPACS architecture, designed to allow healthcare systems with multiple PACS and/or multiple sites to create an enterprise-wide workflow to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
