Merge signs distribution contract for Brazil

Healthcare IT and advanced visualization developer Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee has inked an agreement with a Brazilian distributor.

Microdata Tecnologia, a PACS and medical imaging technology manufacturer in Brazil, will have exclusive access to a Portuguese language version of Merge's eFilm workstation. Microdata Tecnologia will replace the viewing component of its current PACS system with Merge's eFilm workstation and distribute it through its existing sales force, as well as through a customized eCommerce engine based on Merge's existing eStore, according to the firm.

The new Portuguese-language version of eFilm workstation joins a growing list of translated versions, including Spanish, Japanese, Russian, and Polish language versions, Merge said.
