InSite One highlights image sharing capability

Archiving services provider InSite One presented new applications of its InDex managed archive service aimed at facilitating electronic medical image sharing during last week's annual Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Minneapolis.

The Wallingford, CT-based vendor highlighted its zero-footprint InDex Archive Viewing Interface (IAVI), which enables the integration of its archive portal into clinical applications, InSite One said. This enables storage to serve as the conduit for image exchange with consistent representation of data regardless of the source of the images, according to the firm.

The combination of InSite One's standards-based storage services with IAVI allows any portal, electronic patient health information system, or electronic medical record (EMR) to include support for all medical images and related information, the company said.
