Agfa's Impax Data Center 2.0 ships in U.S.

Agfa HealthCare's Impax Data Center 2.0 is now available in the U.S., the company said.

Impax Data Center 2.0 uses Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise's PIX and XDS(-I) formats for sharing patient data, and also offers a framework that integrates patient records across facilities and patient identifiers, according to Agfa.

Also now available in the U.S. is the company's Impax Data Center Viewer with Xero technology: a medical image and report viewer that provides access to medical imaging information for clinicians at any point of care, without the need for downloads of client application software or Web application frameworks, the Greenville, SC-based firm said.

In other Agfa news, the company has brokered a collaboration with database software giant Oracle Redwood Shores, CA, to integrate that firm's healthcare and infrastructure software into Impax Data Center, Agfa said.
