PACS vendor CoActiv Medical Business Solutions released version 2 of its Exam-PACS for iPhone with direct 3G/2G/EDGE connectivity at the RSNA meeting in Chicago this week.
CoActiv's latest iPhone release enables secure DICOM query/retrieve functionality and also allows files to be pushed directly to the device over iPhone network connections, according to the Ridgefield, CT-based firm.
While the prior release of the CoActive iPhone software was limited to Wi-Fi connections, the latest release permits connectivity anywhere worldwide with an iPhone signal, the company said.
