Teleradiology services provider NightHawk Radiology of Coeur D'Alene, ID, has reported flat revenue for the company's third quarter (end-September 30), as net income fell.
For the quarter, NightHawk posted revenues of $43.4 million, unchanged from the number recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2008. The company had net income for the most recent period of $1.7 million, compared with net income of $3.3 million in the same period the year before.
The firm said that its third-quarter results were driven by record scan volume of 865,000 scans. The number of final reads performed by NightHawk radiologists increased 40% from the same quarter a year ago, as final scan volumes increased 56%.
