Matrox adds to RAD series, signs distributor

Display provider Matrox Graphics has introduced its RAD LPX series of display controller boards.

Designed to extend the life of Matrox's RAD series line, RAD LPX includes features such as low-profile printed circuit boards (PCBs) to fit into small form factor or ATX-style workstation PCs, lower power consumption in a fanless design, and all of the features previously available on its RAD series, according to the Montreal-based firm.

In other Matrox news, the company has named Canadian healthcare products supplier Island as a new distributor for the Canadian medical imaging market. Island of Concord, Ontario, will offer the vendor's Xenia series display controller boards.
