Carestream nets $25 million Israeli IT contract

Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, announced that Clalit Health Services will deploy its PACS, RIS, and central archiving system across the HMO enterprise that serves 4 million people throughout Israel.

Algotec, a fully owned subsidiary of Carestream Health, will provide this IT system across Clalit Health Services, which includes more than 1,400 clinics, 14 hospitals, 30 imaging center, 400 pharmacies, 37 children’s health centers, and 32 women's health centers. Implementation is scheduled to begin in early 2009. The Carestream Information Management Solution system is expected to manage more than 5 million procedures annually, according to the company.
