PACS vendor CoActiv Medical Systems of Ridgefield, CT, has installed its digital image communications system at the Candlewood Center for Women’s Health in Danbury, CT.
The system is designed to enable offsite reading of digital mammography exams. Digital files are sent to an onsite CoActiv Acquire & Forward server. The server then provides automatic and secure data communications over the Internet directly to a CoActiv Exam-PACS server at Candlewood's offsite radiology reading group, Northeast Radiology in Brewster, NY.
Images also are saved to CoActiv’s Exam-Vault Quad-Redundant archiving system for disaster recovery.
