Intelerad shows PACS updates at SIIM 2008

PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems demonstrated new features and enhancements to its IntelePACS software at the 2008 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle.

The new features offer improved workflow performance, according to the Montreal-based company. They include speed enhancements and improved streaming capabilities for handling larger imaging studies, an optimized RIS gateway to handle multiple HL7 feeds to and from different systems or facilities, and a report generation and distribution module with optional integration to either the company's InteleDictation application or a third-party voice recognition package.

The company also highlighted advanced 3D, orthopedic, and mammography packages at the SIIM conference.
