NEC debuts 30-inch medical monitor

NEC Display Solutions of America of Itasca, IL, has launched a 30-inch wide-screen display for medical diagnostic use, the company said.

MultiSync MD304MC is a 4-megapixel color display for radiology and emergency room use. With a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, it features ColorComp, which reduces LCD uniformity errors and compensates for differences in color/grayscale and luminance, according to NEC. The monitor also includes GammaComp MD software for consistent image quality.

NEC is launching the display at this week's Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle.
