GE launches US data management

GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., has launched a new ultrasound data management system for vascular labs.

ViewPoint Vascular combines reporting and image archiving with a database technology that speeds report creation while capturing data for statistical analysis, according to the company. An integrated DICOM worklist simplifies patient exams, while one-click data transfer for measurements and images from multivendor ultrasound machines using DICOM SR saves clinicians time and ensures accuracy, GE said.

GE introduced the product at last week's Society of Vascular Surgeons (SVS)/Society of Vascular Ultrasound (SVU) annual meeting in Baltimore.
