Amicas revenues climb in Q1

Image and information management firm Amicas reported first-quarter revenues of $14 million, up 16% compared with the $12.1 million posted in the first quarter last year. For the period (end-March 31), the Boston-based firm had a net loss of $1.1 million, compared with a net loss of $3.3 million a year ago.

Amicas expects total revenues for 2006 to range between $56 million and $61 million, due to factors such as the Deficit Reduction Act and lower than expected orders in the first quarter of 2006. Operating income for 2006, as a percent of revenue, is expected to range between -2% and breakeven, according to the firm.
