Evolved sales dip but loss shrinks

Canadian RIS/PACS developer Evolved Digital Systems reported a slight dip in sales for its 2005 fiscal year (end-December 31), but the company's net loss shrank.

The company posted sales of $16.3 million ($14.1 million U.S.), down slightly compared with revenues of $16.4 million ($14.1 million) in 2004. The company's net loss for the year was $5.8 million ($5 million), compared with $9.9 million (8.5 million) in the same period the year before.

The company said the reduced net loss was due to a reduction in selling and administration expenses achieved as a result of 2004 reorganization efforts, as well as a continued focus by management on cost reductions during 2005.
