Emageon raises 2006 guidance

Image management firm Emageon is expecting 2006 revenues in the range of $122 million to $125 million, which would represent an increase of 64% to 72% over expected revenue in 2005.

This supersedes the guidance of 45% to 50% revenue growth given by the Birmingham, AL-based firm in connection with its acquisition of Camtronics Medical Systems in November.

Emageon noted that it expects revenue of $23 million to $25 million and a net loss of $3.5 million to $5 million for its fiscal 2005 fourth quarter. The developer also said it expects to record a net loss in the first quarter of 2006, but expects to return to profitability in the second quarter of 2006.
