Fuji, ISS ink pact

Image-guided surgery developer Integrated Surgical Systems (ISS) has agreed to sell certain technology and marketing rights to Fujifilm Medical Systems USA. The rights, which cover the PACS market, stem from a joint product development relationship in place between the two vendors.

Fuji and ISS of Davis, CA, had signed a deal in November 2003 to develop a 2D/3D orthopedic surgical-planning software system for integration into the Stamford, CT-based vendor's Synapse PACS network. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
