ALI revenue, income soar

Canadian PACS developer ALI Technologies reported record revenues of $25.6 million (U.S.) in its 2001 fiscal year, up 28% compared with the $20 million posted in fiscal 2000. The Richmond, BC-based vendor also moved into the black, recording net income of $2.3 million, compared with a net loss of $2.5 million in fiscal 2000.

In its fourth quarter (end-September 30), ALI installed eight new customer sites and expanded or upgraded 19 existing sites to support 81 new imaging devices, according to the firm. At the end of the quarter, ALI's customer installed base under warranty or service contract comprised 1,852 imaging devices (a 22% increase over last year) at 473 customer sites (up 13% over last year), including 59 multisite enterprise installations, according to the vendor.

ALI expects fiscal 2002 revenues to grow more than 75% to exceed $44.4 million. The firm believes that earnings will be greater than $1 per share, based on minimum operating margin expectations.
