RadVault chooses Jet Print paper for patient reports

Medical image storage firm RadVault has inked an agreement with International Paper to use Jet Print imaging paper for inexpensive hard-copy images.

Hayward, CA-based RadVault said medical professionals have a growing need for cheaper hard-copy images, not only for referring physicians but also as handouts for patients. The trend to filmless imaging has created demand for an inexpensive method of printing high-quality digital images for patient reports, according to the company.

RadVault provides storage and access of images via the Internet to radiologists, referring physicians, and patients. Jet Print diagnostic-quality color imaging paper is manufactured by Memphis-based International Paper. The paper has a specially forumulated coating that enables the ink to dry instantly, eliminating bleeding and smudging. Inexpensive ink jet technology is used for printing.
