Philips installs 1,000th image/information management system

Philips Medical Systems has installed its 1,000th image and information management system. Of these, approximately 70% are operating in the U.S. and are used by hospitals to manage and store medical images and information. Many of these systems are found in radiology and cardiology departments and are classified as PACS networks, according to the Bothell, WA-based firm. Philips also offers clinical information systems.
