GE Medical Systems Information Technologies has completed its purchase of Swedish PACS and IT storage distributor ProAct Medical. The Stockholm-based firm distributes GE's PACS technology to the Scandinavian marketplace.
In addition to the acquisition, GE has signed a three-year cooperation agreement with ProAct's parent company, ProAct IT Group, which will provide IT infrastructure systems to GE in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
The agreement enables the firms to collaborate in providing optimized PACS and infrastructure expertise, according to Waukesha, WI-based GE. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
