Toshiba, AHRA award grants

Toshiba America Medical Systems and the AHRA have awarded six recipients for their second annual Putting Patients First grant program.

The program seeks to improve patient care and safety in diagnostic imaging by offering grants to fund programs, training, and seminars at local hospitals and imaging centers, according to Toshiba of Tustin, CA. This year's recipients include Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston; Community Health Network in Indianapolis; Memorial Hermann Outpatient Imaging Division in Houston; Highline Medical Center in Burien, WA; Shields Health Care in Quincy, MA; and St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT.

The awardees were selected by an AHRA committee to receive up to $7,500 in grants to fund programs, trainings, or seminars aimed at improving patient care and safety in diagnostic imaging, Toshiba said.
