Broncus Technologies unveils LungPoint

Medical device firm Broncus Technologies will showcase its LungPoint procedure planning and virtual bronchoscopic navigation system at the RSNA meeting in Chicago.

LungPoint is a computer-assisted image-guided navigation system that analyzes CT scans to provide multidimensional reconstructions of the airway tree and virtual animations of pathways to targets or lesions.

The planning software is designed to assist radiologists and imaging centers in providing comprehensive reports to physicians and explaining complex findings to patients, according to the Mountain View, CA-based firm.
