Medweb

(Booth 4065) Medweb of San Francisco will introduce its slimPACS DICOM archive at the 2008 RSNA meeting.

Medweb is offering slimPACS as a free marketing tool for radiology reading groups to generate business revenue from referring physicians. The software-only DICOM archive can be downloaded over the Internet and provides storage and reporting capabilities, according to the firm. Optional additional services also are available.

In other announcements, the company will demonstrate new features for its RIS/PACS Server line, including upgrades to its Dashboard and Advanced Viewer modules. Dashboard offers integrated workflow and reporting for linking multiple PACS, workload balancing, encrypted instant messenger, and advanced filtering tools, Medweb said. Users also can read images from the dashboard or on a local PACS.

Advanced Viewer is a Web-based 2D/3D/4D viewer featuring multiplanar reformatting, curve planar reformatting, automated vessel analysis, volume rendering, and fly-through tools, Medweb said.
