Medweb

Medweb will showcase a wireless workstation and operating room gateway in its RSNA booth this year.

The system can capture analog and streaming video from non-DICOM devices and convert them to DICOM, according to the San Francisco-based firm. It includes a small, diskless OR PACS workstation on a card for retrieval and display of images from the OR gateway or any PACS network.

Medweb will also showcase its Advanced 3D Web PACS offering, which allows Web users on a regular PC to use 3D templating and auto segmenting of image data. Advanced 3D Web PACS can be added to a conventional PACS infrastructure, or it can act as a standalone PACS or a modality PACS network.

Also set for display is version 3.8.9 of the vendor's Radiologist Dashboard software. The product allows large or multiple radiology groups to share and balance workflow between PACS networks and HIS/RIS across multiple PACS from different vendors, according to Medweb.

The vendor will also demonstrate its High Volume Modality PACS Webserver, intended to alleviate the growing demand on teleradiology and PACS networks created by cardiac ultrasound, intraoperative C-arm cine loops, and multislice CT scanners. The system can offload high-volume image distribution requirements from the main PACS network. An optional 3D volume-rendering package includes analog streaming video capture modules, Medweb said.
