Amicas

Amicas will introduce Vision Reach Referring Physician Portal. The portal provides instant e-mail or pager notification of stat results, according to the Boston-based vendor.

Referring physicians can access a clinical report and a key image display that includes annotations. Access can be granted for consultation and coverage, and referring physicians can obtain full exams with one click, according to Amicas. Release is targeted for the second quarter of 2006.

Amicas will also direct booth traffic to its Imaging Dashboard application, which offers a real-time status-based display. Imaging Dashboard provides work lists for the ER, ICU, and other departments, as well as for specialties or users. It enables one-click access to orders, images, reports, and prior exams.

Additionally, Amicas will demonstrate version 4.1 of its Vision Series PACS software. Enhancements include smoother handling of large datasets, better data throughput, and lossless data transfer between Amicas servers, as well as flexible image layout and display options.

The new release also includes advanced visualization tools such as 3D and series layout keyboard shortcuts, a 3D cropping tool, and a color volume and 3D targeted review standard for its LightBeam application. The product incorporates new measurement tools such as angle and Cobb angle, as well as updated speech recognition software integration.

Among other new features are an enhanced workflow accelerator with a nearest server concept, improved report viewing, TeraRecon AquariusNet thin-viewer integration, and a real-time dashboard enhanced filtering capability.

Amicas will also promote Vision Watch, which offers PACS health monitoring, automated e-mail and pager alerts, study tracking, workflow analysis, and decision support.
