A lower-cost TIMS DICOM system for converting non-DICOM medical modalities to DICOM, TIMS 500 converts images to DICOM and sends the resulting study to PACS, according to the Lowell, MA-based vendor. It's available for $8,995, including installation and training.
In other product news, Foresight will showcase version 2.1 of its flagship TIMS 2000 system for static and motion video DICOM conversion. New features include a stopwatch interval timer for speech pathology applications; predefined lists for study description, referring physicians, and requesting physicians; and image inversion, Foresight said.
