CIVCO adds to portfolio

Ultrasound and radiotherapy products developer CIVCO Medical Solutions has introduced a number of new items to its product line.

The Kalona, IA-based firm's Infiniti needle-guidance system is available for use with Esaote's LA332, SL3323, CA631, CA421, CA430, CA431, and SC4321 ultrasound transducers. In addition, CIVCO's Ultra-Pro II needle-guidance system can also now be used with the Genoa, Italy-based vendor's BC431, CA421, CA430, CA431, and LA332 transducers.

CIVCO has also debuted a redesigned disposable endocavity needle guide for use with transducers from GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., such as the E72, E721, E8C, E8C-RS, E8CS, IC5-9-D, IC5-9H, MTZ, and MZ. The needle guide features a single-piece design with a low-profile, smooth entry tip, CIVCO said.

In other developments, CIVCO said that its Ultra-Pro II needle guides and brackets are now compatible with Aplio MX transducers from Toshiba America Medical Systems of Tustin, CA, such as PST-25BT, PST-25ST, PST-30BT, PST-30SBT, PVT-375AT, PVT-375AX, PVT-375BT, PVT-375ST, PLT-604AT, PLT704AT, PLT-704ST, PLT-704SBT, and PLT-805AT.

CIVCO is also rolling out a disposable, dual-path transrectal needle guide for use with the BP9-4 biplane transducer from Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA.
