McKesson launches imaging center outreach

Healthcare informatics firm McKesson is introducing an imaging center outreach program.

The program features a set package of McKesson's Horizon Medical Imaging PACS functionality, including multiple patient identification, cross-location communication, and reporting capabilities to help diagnostic imaging centers read more studies, improve report turnaround time, and store and reconstruct images, according to the Richmond, British Columbia-based firm.

Combined with marketing tools and services to promote new business capabilities, the program allows imaging centers and affiliated institutions to create a community-wide image distribution system, McKesson said.

In other McKesson news, the firm has received an order from Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. McKesson will be providing its Horizon Medical Imaging PACS network.
