Philips Speech Processing of Vienna has signed a global distribution deal with digital dictation developer WinScribe of Auckland, New Zealand. WinScribe has agreed to integrate and promote only Philips’ SpeechMagic in its digital dictation solutions and distribute the product in the U.S., Europe, and the Asia-Pacific regions.
In the first stage of the agreement, Philips will offer speech recognition for the medical and legal markets in the U.S. and will broaden its focus to other industries in the near future, according to the company.
