Display supplier and calibration software developer Double Black Imaging and LG Business Solutions USA plan to collaborate on developing medical imaging display systems.
The two firms have entered into a long-term license agreement that will integrate LG's liquid crystal display (LCD) medical monitors and DBI's CFS Calibration Software Suite. The bundled package will include a range of resolutions, from 2-megapixel to 12-megapixel, covering the imaging applications such as teleradiology, diagnostic imaging, mammography, cardiology, and pathology.
LG's medical monitors include built-in front and backlight sensors for automated DICOM and color calibration technology, ultrathin bezels, flicker-safe technology, ambient lighting, and brightness stabilization.
