VIENNA - 3-D software developer Voxar is displaying several enhancements to its Plug n View 3D software at the annual meeting of the European Congress of Radiology. The Edinburgh, Scotland-based firm has added curvi-linear multi-planar reformatting (CL-MPR) for improved viewing in vascular imaging. Another new feature, slab rendering with maximum and minimum intensity projections (MIP), provides enhanced image definition, according to Voxar.
Voxar is also demonstrating its ability to load and manage the large number of slices produced by the new multislice CT scanners. The system can rapidly load the image data, display it in cine mode, and then instantly switch to MPR and 3-D views, according to the vendor.
