Top 10 stories from RSNA 2021

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

This year's RSNA show marked a return to the tradition of the in-person conference after last year's show was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. And what better tradition than the PACSman Awards?

PACS and artificial intelligence consultant Michael J. Cannavo's review of the best and worst in the RSNA's technical exhibit was our top story for the meeting, as measured by member page views. It's good that some things never change.

Another major trend at RSNA was photon-counting CT, and here a pair of articles made the top 10, one on a major product launch of the technology by Siemens Healthineers and the other on a presentation of the technology's promise by researchers from Canon Medical Research Institute.

Other top stories covered how deep learning can be leveraged to cut exam times for MRI spine studies, the use of F-18 fluoroestradiol PET/CT imaging to improve patient management in women with invasive lobular carcinoma breast cancer, and the importance of cybersecurity in radiology.
