QT Imaging nets Israeli registration for Breast Acoustic CT scanner

QT Imaging has received registration from the Israeli Ministry of Health for its Breast Acoustic CT Scanner, authorizing commercialization of the system in Israel through February 2028.

The registration is based on the company's existing U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance and applicable Israeli regulatory requirements. The Breast Acoustic CT Scanner produces radiation-free, compression-free 3D breast images using low-energy sound waves and is FDA-cleared as an adjunctive breast imaging device for women 18 years of age and older.

The registration supports a planned clinical study at Rambam Health Care Campus in Israel evaluating the technology in women with hereditary breast cancer risk, the company said. It also highlighted Israel having an established national BRCA1/2 screening program and longstanding expertise in hereditary cancer management, according to the firm.
