Volpara adds Custin to board of directors

Breast imaging software developer Volpara Solutions has appointed Ann Custin to its board as an independent, nonexecutive director, effective September 1.

Custin most recently held an executive role at Siemens Healthineers, where she served as chief financial officer and board director of Siemens Medical Solutions, Volpara said. She has also been chief operating and financial officer of Scient'x, as well as president and CEO of USA Draeger Medical Systems.

Custin replaces Dr. Monica Saini, who has retired as a nonexecutive director on the Volpara board. However, Saini will continue to provide input into future product development as a user of Volpara products in her private breast cancer screening practice, according to the vendor.
