Hologic announced a private offering of $950 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2029.
The amount is subject to the market and other conditions, according to the company. Hologic is limiting notes availability to qualified institutional buyers.
Hologic intends to use the proceeds and existing available cash to refinance its current 4.375% senior unsecured notes due 2025. It will also use current cash to pay for associated premiums, fees, and expenses.
The company currently plans to redeem its 2025 notes around October 15 for a redemption price of $971 million and a final interest payment.
