Women's imaging vendor Hologic posted a nearly 10% increase in revenues for the company's third quarter (end-June 27), while also reporting an increase in net income of more than 150%.
For the period, Hologic had total revenues of $693.9 million, up 9.7% from $632.6 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2014. The company reported net income of $29.4 million, up 160.2% from $11.3 million in the corresponding quarter of 2014.
Revenue in the company's Breast Health segment grew 17.5% to $279.5 million, compared with $238 million in 2014, which the company attributed to increased customer adoption of its Genius 3D mammography systems, Hologic said.
