Mammography pad developer BioLucent said a new study found that its MammoPad breast cushion did not have a clinically relevant effect on image quality or dose when used with full-field digital mammography (FFDM) equipment.
The study, by medical physicists Eric Berns, Ph.D., and Edward Hendrick, Ph.D, was presented at the annual conference of the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC) in Las Vegas last week, according to BioLucent of Aliso Viejo, CA.
