Computer-aided detection (CAD) and digitizer vendor iCAD has introduced the Gateway to Digital program designed to make the transition to CAD mammography easier and more affordable for breast care facilities.
The program offers two options to facilities, Total300 and Click to Digital, according to the Nashua, NH-based vendor. The Total300 option provides iCAD's film-based SecondLook 300 CAD system and its TotalLook system, which allows users to view breast images previously captured on film through digital technology.
The Click to Digital option permits mammography centers to acquire iCAD's SecondLook 300 and SecondLook 700 systems on a fee-per-procedure basis. The program permits a clinic to implement CAD immediately, without a capital investment, preserving capital for later investment in digital mammography, iCAD said.
