Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer R2 Technology has released ImageChecker LS, a CAD system designed for low-volume film-based mammography sites.
The component-based system features R2's CAD technology in a tabletop package, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based vendor. It can process a case of four mammogram films in a few minutes, with the results viewable on any of the firm's display offerings. Films with CAD markings can also be sent to a printer, R2 said.
The system can also employ R2's workflow and display features, such as connecting to mammography reporting systems.
