SonoSite gets clearance for new scanner

Hand-held-ultrasound technology developer SonoSite has received Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for iLook, a new ultrasound platform. A spokesperson for the Bothell, WA-based vendor told AuntMinnie.com that SonoSite is not currently releasing any further details about the system or its clinical applications. iLook shipments will begin later this year, according to the spokesperson.
