iCAD said that its Xoft Axxent electronic brachytherapy machine has been used for the first time in the U.S. to treat a patient with recurrent glioblastoma.
The procedure was performed at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA, as part of the international multicenter GLIOX trial led by principal investigator Dr. Santosh Kesari, PhD, according to iCAD.
