Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems will remain exempt from paying additional tariffs to China on the company's medical linear accelerators for another year.
Varian announced in September that the Chinese government had lifted tariffs slapped on the company's linear accelerators made in China as part of the trade war between the country and the U.S.
That exclusion has been extended from September 17, 2020, to September 16, 2021.
Varian notes that its products were some of the first items exempt from extra tariffs.
